Reddit and Shopify rolled out a global integration that automatically syncs product catalogs and simplifies ad account setup, according to Marketing Dive. The partnership, previously limited to select markets, now covers merchants worldwide and removes the CSV-upload bottleneck that kept smaller sellers off the platform.

The integration links a Shopify store to Reddit Ads Manager in three steps: OAuth account authorization, automated catalog sync, and conversion pixel deployment. Product feeds update without manual intervention. A merchant changes inventory in Shopify, and Reddit reflects the update within hours. The system tracks purchases, add-to-cart events, and page views without additional tagging.

This works because Reddit's ad platform struggled with onboarding friction. Uploading and maintaining a product feed manually deterred brands with lean teams. Shopify holds over 1 million active stores, most of them small to mid-size physical-product sellers. By embedding the sync at the platform level, Reddit converts that latent supply into live ad inventory.
